California BSIS seems to condone American Police Force (APPF/APF) unlicensed security activity

www.bsis.ca.gov www.privacyrights.org www.dca.ca.gov app.dca.ca.gov California BSIS seems to condone American Police Force (APPF/APF) unlicensed security activity Hey, No. 1 : No license needed to run the jail in Hardin, Montana I recieved and e-mail confirmation from the following: Teri Ray Compliance Specialist Department of Labor & Industry Business Standards Division (406) 841-2xxx She advises that there is NO LICENSING REQUIREMENT to run a private detention center. This is an outrage. They are telling me that any old screw ball can show up and start running a prison, without licenses for their personel (not even a security guard license). So, in America any yahoo International police company can just show up and start operating a prison ..? YES!! That is a key point. No. 2: Consumer protection of California residents Since you live and I live in California (with thousands of others interested in this topic) we have a right to be protected from nut job unlicensed mercenaries. That is the mission of the Department of Consumer Affairs and their Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). It is a VIOLATION of the California Private Investigators Act (PIA) for a company to advertise investigative, bodyguard and surveillance services when they are unlicensed. Captain Mike Hilton’s web-site is breaking the law, it is a violation of the PIA. So, as a mother, consumer, resident, etc. I have every right to compalin that the APPF/APF website be dismantled for the …

@AgentFisher Yes, according to California law you can not advertise those services without a license.

I am totally bewildered and perplexed why the BSIS hasn’t shut down Capt. Mike Hilton now that he has been trashed by Glen Beck. It will be interesting to see if APPF is allowed to continue their unlicensed security company in violation of California law.

These privately run prison systems are a joke, we need reform there. In Montana you need no license to operate a prison detention facility.

Works for me. What can they do about it? We need to start trolling for some lawyers, and an accounting firm. It has been some years since I looked at franchise structure, but there’s nothing but to do it.
I can see it now, 1 million vehicles with a PPPF logo. We can have corporate ID’s and an LRAD on the roof.

We should stay on California’s BSIS until they issue a cease and desist letter to Captain Mike’s Anaheim based “American Police Force”. Otherwise, if the BSIS is a toothless tiger with lock-jaw then these mercenary groups can run wild all over California and do whatever they want without any fear of legal consequences. We have to win this battle IMHO. BSIS must shut down the APPF/APF web-site.
