Let’s Play Chrono Cross #020g – Experienced Security Guards Wanted

By New York Security

In this episode, we find some strange mechanisms for securing Viper Manor, since the guards can’t seem to do a good enough job. Also, we find the code to the door upstairs. Thanks for watching!

those chests (boxers) can be cheated by using multi targeting attack

it’s actually easier when you go and try to go into the room wait until the eye is closed. then you don’t have to fight it

Then again, they hire idiots for guards… And a spy broke in… Meh, a perfect plan isn’t perfect unless there is a blatant flaw in it (Bond Vilain Proverb).

You’d think that attacking a door like that would destroy it and open the way instead of just making it revert to a locked door…

is it pronounced “wanda-in” or wand-ain” Not that I’m dogganyone, I just don’t know which way sounds better/makes more sense. Thoughts?

I recall once being very impressed with the animation on the chef in the kitchen.

oh, and you don’t have to fight the doors when the eye is closed

Heh, I never actually missed the right chest, I always thought there would be a better item in one of the two chests, and a normal one.

I would LOVE for HC to do one of the Mother games.

Hmm…if you think the battles in this game are surreal, give the Mother series a whirl.

I think there’s many ways to pronounce it. No one’s ever sure how to pronounce some names, especially since there’s no voice acting to correct it.

I go based on what an old English teacher of mine’s name was: Sergio, which was pronounced as “Sehr-gee-o”. So when I look at Serge, I also pronounce it like ‘detergent’.

you’re still pronouncing serge as a detergent….

The Door reminds me of that freakin’ Fireplace in Seiken Densetsu 3.

…Freakin’ Fireplace…

I love the ’stop talking!’ series of exclamations all the more now: started playing Ys 6 and noticed a whole new dimension to Adol’s dialogue exit command. Reminds me to suggest you play more Action RPGs sometime. Ys would take like…a week to beat probably.
Also in turn reminds me of Arc the Lad, where you could shout “Useful information!!” at the port guards to elicit courteous tips. (Also a good candidate perhaps…assuming you played old working designs games of course)
Classy.
